You Are A Mischievous Dearie

Dearie, dearie... you are really one mischievous baby, you know?

You are into your 9 weeks in your mummy's tummy and you are making us worried already. This is the first trimester of your life and it is one very crucial period. Everyone is making sure that your mummy will get all the best nutrients so that she can pass all that good stuff to you... Your mummy needs a lot of rest so that she can create an ideal environment for your development... but you are so mischievous...

You are making your mummy feel sick and unwell. That is no good, you know? You cannot bully your mummy like this. You must love your mummy like how she loves you, okie? Be nice to your mummy so that she can give you a very lively and happy place to grow. Everyone (grandpapa, grandmama, Auntie Addy, Uncle Terence, Auntie Rancy and your many many other uncles and aunties), especially your daddy have been showering a lot of love and attention to your mummy and it is all because of you, little dearie. You must also play your part as part of the family, okie?

This is how our family function. We care for each other all the times and help each other out when needed. You must learn that also cos' you will be part of our family.

Now... in case you have forgotten already... We love you, little dearie. *Muackzzz*

Your First X'mas Gift from Auntie Addy

On December 18, Auntie Addy went to Plaza Singapura for some last minute X'mas shoppings for my friends, colleagues, your daddy, your mummy... basically for everyone that means a lot to me. While I was shopping, I saw this piggy plushie in this shop. When I saw it, I knew right away that I want to buy it for you, my dearie. Without any consideration, I told your grandmama that I am buying my dearie, your first X'mas gift from Auntie Addy.

I am so excited that I told your mummy and also your Uncle Terence and Auntie Rancy. When I showed the piggy plushie to your mummy, I can tell that she is very happy. I know she must be thinking that she can't wait for you to join us to show you your first gift from Auntie Addy. I know that she must be very happy cos' she can't wait to tell you that you will be a well-loved baby by your Uncle Terence and Auntie Addy. Of course not forgetting about grandmama, grandpapa and Auntie Rancy.

Knowing that our little dearie is coming to this world to join our family is the best thing that has happened to me this year... and I know that your coming into our world next year is already the best thing that is going to happen to me in 2007. : )

Blur... That is your Mummy

On December 20, your mummy went for the very first appointment with the gynae. Your mummy has decided that you will be delivered by a senior gynae at KK Hospital - the hospital that most of us were born in.

A trip to the gynae has confirmed that you are 8mm long. Hmmm... 8mm... my baby fingernail is even longer than you... How interesting!

Oh... and why did Auntie Addy say your mummy is blur cos' she gave the wrong date to the doctor and hence we were given the wrong information about you. You are actually 6 weeks and 6 days old as of December 20 and we will be seeing you on guess what... our National Day!!! I sure hope that you will be due as per gynae's advice. That will be really exciting!! Can you imagine if you are born on August 9?? And also born in the year of Pig. Wow... that will be double happiness. Nope, it should be triple happiness cos' we have YOU most importantly!!!

The Day We Discovered You

My darling little one (shall call you that till your daddy & mummy decide on a name for you),

Auntie Addy wants to create this blog for you... To write down how we have been feeling since we know you are coming to join our family.

Your daddy & mummy had their customary wedding on October 29 2006. On December 12, we have our little suspicion that you might be in mummy's tummy... Auntie Addy suggested to your mummy to do a test but your mummy was a bit hesitant cos' a month before that we had a false alarm. Nonetheless, I felt that your mummy should carry on with the test just to be sure. I told your mummy... at least if she does the test and it is a good news, she can be more careful from then on.

In the evening, your mummy bought a double test kit... I bet your mummy was very nervous then...

We wait and wait for news from your mummy...

Voila!!!

We have a positive result!!! You have no idea how happy we all were but your mummy wanted to do a 2nd test with the double test kit to confirm the result... but in our hearts, we know that we are going to have you in our family in less than a year time. At this point of time, your mummy was so anxious to tell your daddy but your daddy was so busy on that day that he did not pick up your mummy's call... which makes your mummy so angry... Heehee...

The 2nd test showed positive result still... but a kit is still a kit. A trip to the doctor is inevitable to confirm once and for all... Your daddy and mummy were so anxious that they couldn't sleep that night. The next morning, mummy went to the doctor and the doctor confirmed the precious gift that is bestowed to our family.

Your daddy was so funny. He told us that he was very scared that your mummy will come out of the doctor's office and inform him that it was another false alarm... You have one cartoon daddy!

The doctor informed your mummy that you will be 7 weeks old on that week's friday. Wow... 7 weeks old!!! You had actually secretly came into our lifes 7 weeks ago...

We will be seeing you on July 27, 2007.
